Technology Support Specialist - DFW, TX

We have a permanent opportunity with a Fort Worth based client seeking an experienced and dependable Technical Support professional. This person will be responsible for handling on-site support, troubleshooting and inbound technical calls. The ideal candidate will be proficient with Windows XP desktop operating systems with exposure to a Windows Server 2003 environment. Very professional work environment providing good base pay plus and excellent benefits package.

Responsibilities

Setup of new users (joining domains, password resets, etc.)
Configuring new computers
Troubleshooting basic desktop and network issues
1st tier application support
Work effectively with third party vendors for escalation issues
Monitor firewalls and servers
Additional duties as assigned

Required Experience / Skills

BS Accounting or IT disciplines required
MCP, MCSE is helpful
Experience working in an accounting or finance environment
Good project management skills
Ability to resolve issues in a timely manner
Superior communication skills both oral and written
Ability to work well in a very professional environment
