Java Software Engineer - Dallas, TX

The position requires a self-motivated individual whose main responsibility is developing embedded Java components and applications for control devices. Other responsibilities include, writing product/system requirements and maintenance of existing products. This individual should have a team player attitude and the ability to easily multi task. They should also possess strong verbal and written communication, project management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Design and develop infrastructure for embedded Java components.
Develop technical specifications that meet product requirements for each project.
Maintain and support existing products.
Possess the initiative to perform troubleshooting and identify work-around for issues.
Have the ability to easily accept and implement advanced and varied implementation strategies to facilitate delivery of quality software products on challenging schedules.
Manage assigned tasks and schedules.

Required Experience / Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
3+ years of Java experience.
Familiarity with developing J2ME components.
Working knowledge of Eclipse IDE.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational and project management skills.
Ability to work in a team environment and meet project deadlines is required.
